Daniel C. Kline

 

Daniel C. Kline, M.D. was born and raised in East Lyme, Connecticut. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University and obtained his medical degree cum laude from Yale University School of Medicine. He received his training in ophthalmology at the Moran Eye Center at the University of Utah, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Kline has published many peer-reviewed articles and has given numerous presentations at ophthalmology meetings nationwide.

He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the California Medical Association, the Orange County Medical Association and serves on the executive board of the Orange County Society of Ophthalmology. He is on the medical staff of Hoag Memorial Presbyterian Hospital located in Newport Beach, California.

Lindy Hoang

 

Lindy H. Hoang, O.D. is a Board Certified optometrist. She obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree from The New England College of Optometry (NECO) and has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from University of California, Riverside. She has completed several externships throughout the greater area of Boston, Massachusetts, including the Joslin Diabetes Center, Veterans Affairs Brockton, and various community health centers and private practices.

Dr. Hoang was born in Hue, Vietnam and raised in Westminster, California. With her multi-cultural background, Dr. Hoang speaks fluent English and Vietnamese as well as clinical Spanish.

Michael DeCarlo

 

Michael DeCarlo, OD joined OC Eye Associates in 2018. Dr. DeCarlo brings to OC Eye over 25 years of experience in optometry and contact lens management. He fits soft contact lenses, rigid gas permeable (RGP) lenses, scleral lenses and other specialty lenses. Dr. DeCarlo is trained as a therapeutic optometrist and is certified to treat eye disease including glaucoma. He is also experienced in treating and diagnosing computer vision syndrome and fits specialty contact lenses for corneal disease such as keratoconus. He and his wife Lorena have 2 children and enjoy all the activities that come with raising children. Dr. DeCarlo is a life long Chicago Cubs fan and will not be available for appointments during any World Series game involving the Chicago Cubs.

Todd Driver

 

Todd Driver, M.D is a board-eligible ophthalmologist with fellowship training in cornea, cataract and LASIK. Originally hailing from Denver, he attended the University of Colorado Boulder. He received his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco where he graduated at the top of his class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at the world-renowned UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute and obtained further training at the prestigious University of California, San Francisco F.I. Proctor Foundation in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery. Working with leaders in the field at UCSF, he is practiced in the art of corneal transplant surgery and advanced cataract surgery, including the implantation of toric, multifocal and extended depth of focus (EDOF) intraocular lenses. He has also received advanced training in refractive surgery (LASIK, PRK and Intacs) using state-of-the-art equipment, including VISX, wavefront, and intralase lasers.

We are pleased to welcome Roberto Rende, MD to the OC Eye Associates team. Dr. Rende is a board-certified ophthalmologist with over 20 years of experience. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree with Honors from Stanford University. After graduating from Tulane Medical School, he completed his residency training in ophthalmology at the University of California, Irvine.

Dr. Rende’s focus at OC Eye is general medical ophthalmology, providing high quality medical care to our patients for both optical and medical eyecare needs. He treats glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye syndrome and conjunctivitis. He performs dilated eye examinations for floaters, diabetic retinopathy and retinal screenings for patients at risk of medication-related retinopathy, such as that caused by Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine). Additionally, Dr. Rende is skilled in the surgical treatment of chalazia and in laser surgery.
